The Best Crock Pot Chili
I have been making this chili recipe for years. Seriously YEARS. It is super simple but has great flavors, can be made stove top or in the crock pot and freezes well. It also has a very short list of ingredients. What more can you ask for in a staple recipe?
Since this recipes is full of staple ingredients, I tend to keep these ingredients in my pantry all the time, so in a pinch, I can always through together this chili. You can also use this chili to make other great staples, like Chili dogs, Nachos, Chili Burritos… Seriously, you can’t go wrong with this recipe. Trust me.
Best Crock Pot Chili
This simple chili recipe can be made stove top or in the crock pot.
Ingredients
- 1 lb hamburger
- 1 lb spicey sausage
- 1 small onion chopped
- 1 large can Tomato Juice (V8)
- 2 cans spicey chili beans
- 1 can tomato paste
- 1 can tomatoes with chilis
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

Brown the hamburger and sausage with the diced onion in a large skillet. Drain and add to the crock pot.

Add all of the remaining ingredients to the crock pot and cook on low for 6 hours.

Serve with Sour cream, sliced jalapenos, sliced avocado and shredded cheddar cheese or other topping of your choice.
