Indian Spiced Yogurt
This simple side dish is traditionally called Raita and is served along side most any Indian Dish. Many times it includes shaved cucumber and fresh cilantro. This is the version that my best friend in college taught me. Feel free to adjust seasoning to taste.
Indian Spiced Yogurt
Serve with your favorite curry or Indian dish.

Servings 2 people
Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup Yogurt
- 2 Tbsp Water
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Garam Marsala
- 1/2 tsp Amchur Powder
- 1 dash less than 1/8 tsp Indian Red Chilli Powder

Combine all ingredients and serve with your favorite curry or indian dish.
Recipe Notes
Note: You can use any type of PLAIN yogurt - traditional, Greek, Almond, Soy or Cashew. Just don’t use anything with any flavor.
